Mikell's Wedding Day! Part One.

Since there are so many great pictures from Mikell's wedding I'm going to break them up into 2 blog posts. Here is blog post number 1. Mikell and Spencer got married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 16, 2012. Based on the looks on their faces I'm going to say this was a pretty happy day for them!

Let's take a minute to get to know the bride and groom a little bit better.

Bride: Mikell (Brockbank) Gordon
Groom: Spencer Gordon

How did you meet? My best friend from high school married one of Spencer's best friends. They hooked us up on a blind date going to a concert.

How did Spencer propose? We went on a picnic up Mueller Park Canyon! Fall leaves, crisp air - everything was perfect!

Tell us something unique about your relationship. Spencer is from Texas and works in the oil industry moving around often. Planning the wedding being apart was a challenge. We are able to spend about a week a month actually being together - those weeks for us a priceless! Somehow we make it work!

This is such a great picture! I love the cowboy/cowgirl boots. The color of Mikell's boots pop in this picture and go so well with the flowers.

The custom designed bouquet contained billy balls, green artichokes, yellow roses, white garden roses, succulents, peacock feathers, monkey tail, twigs and wheat. We tied the bouquet in burlap and twine and added framed charms with pictures of loved ones. It was a great touch and made the bouquet more sentimental to Mikell.

I love these pictures. They make me laugh every time I look at them!

The beautiful photos were taken by Amanda Rumsey Photography.

In blog post 2 we'll spotlight the wedding reception so stay tuned!

Mikell's Bridals

Mikell was one of my March bride's (and close friend). Although we didn't do any flowers for her bridals I had to post them anyway. Amanda Rumsey Photography really did a great job in this bridal session. Mikell has beautiful features and Amanda was able to capture them flawlessly! Mikell's pictures were taken at an abandoned house in West Bountiful. I think you'll love them as much as I do!

 Absolutely LOVE the cowgirl boots!

I love the old run-down walls and all the debris on the floor! Who would have thought this would be a great place for bridals??

Stay tuned for wedding day pictures. I don't think you'll be disappointed!!

Anna's Museum Wedding

It's been too long since my last blog post! I'm excited to get back into the swing of things with this beautiful wedding shot by the Fabulous Mikki Platt! She did a great job capturing the details of Anna's December wedding. If you're looking for a talented photographer definitely check her out!!

Anna is the gorgeous bride who doesn't lack in the style department! I loved her shoes, the bridesmaids shoes, her hair, and I could go on and on!

I had the pleasure of working with Anna's sister Maddy earlier in 2011. They are a gorgeous family and extremely talented. Her sister Shannon was featured on Utah Bride Blog last month for photography.

Enjoy!

I'm a little envious of her hair! Actually, I'm a lot envious!!!
